Their existing system, built on a traditional LAMP stack with cron-based batch processing, was showing serious strain under production loads.

Our engagement spanned four months, involving architecture design, full-stack development, DevOps implementation, and ongoing optimization. Challenge

Approach

We adopted an event-driven architecture (EDA) approach, moving away from the existing monolithic structure to a collection of specialized microservices communicating through message queues.

Architecture Principles:

  • Event-First Design: All data events flow through Apache Kafka, creating an immutable event log that enables reprocessing, replay, and multiple consumer applications.
  • Service Decomposition: Distinct services for ingestion, processing, aggregation, notification, and presentation layers, each scaling independently based on demand.
