Leadership wanted a single platform that could provide real-time visibility into shipments, improve planning accuracy, and reduce costly exceptions, but they could not afford any downtime or a “big bang” migration.
Webskyne was engaged to redesign the workflow and deliver a modern, cloud-native platform with a unified data model, event-driven updates, and a collaborative web cockpit for dispatchers, operations managers, and customer service. The core objective was to make decisions faster and with confidence, while also laying a foundation for analytics and automation.

## Challenge
The client faced a classic integration and visibility problem: growth had outpaced their tooling. Each region maintained its own definitions for “on-time,” “delayed,” and “exception.” Some teams logged statuses in Excel, others in an outdated ERP module, and one region used a custom Access database. Data exports were weekly, meaning leadership often saw problems after they had already become expensive.
The business constraints were equally complex. Dispatchers worked 12-hour shifts and relied on personal tricks to “get the day done.” Change had to be minimally disruptive. They also served enterprise customers who expected accurate ETAs; inaccuracies in status updates caused penalties and eroded trust.
